Our Mission

Together, we pass it on.

—turning gently used equipment into new opportunities stronger communities brighter futures .

PassItOn.Life is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit* organization dedicated to empowering children and communities through the transformative power of sports. We collect gently used sporting goods from generous donors and redistribute them at no cost to underserved youth in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. By removing financial barriers, we ensure that every child—regardless of background—has the opportunity to play, build confidence, develop life skills, and experience the joy of teamwork and physical activity.

We have a goal to extend our impact globally and we are actively seeking partner organizations in developing countries to help children in resource-limited communities gain access to sports equipment and the lasting benefits it brings.

Our Team

We are eager to connect with individuals who can help us collect gear from your home or your neighborhood.  Most of our equipment comes from families who have outgrown their gear, teams that have upgraded, or individuals cleaning out their garages.

Every single individual donating two bins of equipment will earn a PassItOn jersey.   Your efforts will help teach powerful life lessons: teamwork, perseverance, discipline, and resilience. Most importantly, your collections help kids build lasting friendships and a sense of belonging.

We are especially excited to empower motivated teenagers who want to take on a larger leadership role in PassItOn.Life. If you’re a teen looking to help build the PassitOn team, develop real-world organizational skills, and make a tangible impact, we invite you to become a Team Captain. As a captain, you’ll help organize and lead equipment collection drives in your school, neighborhood, sports club, or local area—coordinating with friends, coaches, and community groups to maximize donations across greater Washington DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia. You’ll gain hands-on experience in project leadership, outreach, logistics, and nonprofit operations while inspiring your peers to serve others. Whether you rally your team for a one-time drive or commit to ongoing collections, your energy and initiative will directly expand our reach and strengthen the next generation of leaders.

Together, through simple acts of collection and bold youth leadership, we can keep sports accessible, build stronger communities, and pass on the joy of play to kids who need it most. Contact us today to get involved—your help, big or small, truly matters!
